An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly, fast-paced Customer Services Team as Customer Services Assistant. This is a full-time role, working Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12.30pm, based at our Jedburgh facility.
The Role
This is a true customer facing role, based at our Jedburgh facility, reporting directly to the Customer Service Team Leader with a clear objective to provide a world-class customer service. The primary focus is to manage UK & European customer interactions and expectations on a daily basis.
You will be responsible for:
Managing and inputting customer orders, updating systems and preparing export documentation, invoices, packing lists etc. for customs clearance
Being the first point of contact for customers, you will identify the customer’s needs, and match them to solutions, ensuring all customers receive a prompt and efficient response
Forming excellent working relationships with both internal and external customers to ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction
Managing any issues raised and resolving where manageable or escalating where appropriate
Collaborating with various internal departments to provide the best possible customer service
Providing assistance to resolve issues and queries over the telephone
Demonstrating an acceptable level of product and process knowledge to confidently manage customer interactions
About You
This role requires excellent communication skills both written and verbally. The ideal candidate will have the ability to thrive within a busy sales environment, and have experience of using ERP/ MRP systems along with all Microsoft Office applications.
You will have experience in a similar customer-facing role, and have a genuine desire to provide a first-class customer service.
Some experience in Shipping and Customs would be advantageous but training will be provided.
You will possess a confident and professional telephone manner, with the ability to build a strong rapport with customers.
You will also have excellent attention to detail, good listening skills and have the ability to problem solve.
